Welcome to my website. I am Anna, a research group leader investigating how animals see the world.
When I am not looking into my study animals' brains, I am contemplating fun ways to share my science,
singing in choir or taking my camera for a walk.
My main scientific interest is how the nervous system processes sensory information. For the most part, I have investigated how visual signals are processed - mainly in hawkmoths, but I also worked with mice during my postdoc. Though in the past, I also had a look into more peculiar sensory systems of animals not starting with the letter M. Check out our lab website: insect-vision.com
I am not just passionate about learning new things about the world, but also about sharing them with everyone - the more creative and fun the platform, the better! Following this drive, I have presented my research in a variety of formats, such as science slams, short videos and popular scientific articles.
